By downloading or using VSVX Softkeys ("the Software") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install it.
1. What you get
A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software with Adobe After Effects on computers you control, for any purpose including commercial work, free of charge while it is in beta.
2. Beta means beta
The Software is pre-release. It may contain bugs, may change or be removed at any time, and may not work with every project, plugin or version of After Effects. Save your project before using it, and use Ctrl+Z if something unexpected happens.
3. Beta accounts and the paid version
The email you enter when downloading is your beta account and your sign-in for the panel. Beta access is temporary and free of charge. We plan to release an official, paid version of VSVX Softkeys. When that happens:
- the beta may be switched off and beta accounts may be locked, so the panel stops opening until you have a valid license;
- to keep using the Software you will need to buy a license (or receive one from us) and unlock the panel with it;
- nothing here gives you a right to continued free use, to a discount, or to a specific price; any beta discount or free period is a courtesy we announce separately;
- we will announce the switch at least 14 days in advance by email (if you opted in) and on the website.
We may also end or pause the beta at any time for other reasons.
4. What you may not do
- Sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software or its files, or pass it off as your own.
- Remove or alter the VSVX name or version notices.
- Use the Software to build a competing product using its code.
Downloaded media. The Download key fetches files you point it at. You alone are responsible for having the right to download and use them, and for respecting the terms of the platform they come from. VSVX does not host, store or check that media.
Sharing the download link vsvxfx.com/softkeys with other editors is welcome.
5. Ownership
The Software, its design and name remain the property of VSVX. "After Effects" and "Adobe" are trademarks of Adobe Inc.; the Software is an independent third-party panel and is not affiliated with, endorsed or supported by Adobe.
6. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You use it at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VSVX is not liable for any loss of data, lost projects, lost profits or any indirect or consequential damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Software or this website. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to CHF 50. Nothing limits liability for intent or gross negligence.
8. Feedback
Anything you send through the feedback form may be used to improve the Software without obligation or compensation. Personal data is handled as described in the privacy page.
9. Termination
This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. You can end it any time by deleting the Software.
10. Law and venue
Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the CISG. Place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
